copy the 'SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED' folder in your Origin installation folder to your Steam installation folder. Rename the 'Need For Speed Shift 2' folder in your steam installation folder to something else, or remove it for extra space, i don't care it works either way.
Download the game on Steam so your steam client thinks the game is installed. Now let's get to the part where i tell you how to fix it: I hate Origin, so i would like to play the game via Steam, So i'll tell you how to play the Origin version of the game via Steam. However, in the Origin version my FPS is in the 90-144 range. In the Steam version i get around 30-50 FPS.
When you buy the game on Steam you get an activation code to activate the game on Origin. The Steam version for some reason uses a lot more cpu, therefore your gpu is bottlenecked. The Origin version of Shift 2 is slightly different than the Steam version. I play at 2560x1440 so i would really like to see 144fps. As you can see, my pc should not be the problem.
